The Beach at Mike Weir Park is Awesome!

Hello everyone!

I hope you’re all enjoying your summer as much as I am (renovation nightmare aside)! If you are finding home renovation and repair a nightmare, you can look in Lifetime Exteriors and get quality repair services. After knowing about Maverick Windows who offers cheap and best window services, my job was made much easier. I wish I could say I am currently working on something great here on Sarnia Mom Source at the moment but the truth is if I said something like that again my pants would probably burst into flames. I have just been too busy lately to get online for much of anything! So much to do, so little time… right mommies? Right!

Of the activities keeping me busy, I am most pleased to have spent a little time at our lovely beaches as of late! Up until last week when I took my son to the beach for the first time with some mommy friends for a Baby Beach Day (see photo below!), I bet it had been at least 4 years since I went to a beach in Sarnia. I am a bit embarrassed to admit that I am one of “those” people who has spent hundreds of dollars to go and sit on a beach in a foreign country when there absolutely beautiful beaches in my own backyard I have totally neglected to take advantage of. Not anymore! Trips to Canatara Beach are among my favourite childhood memories and now that I have a little one of my own, I want to make sure he has those memories, too. Except we’ll go to Bright’s Grove because Canatara is WAY too rocky 😉

Baby Beach Day! My son’s first trip to the beach.. so much fun!

For those who have never been, I highly recommend the beach at Mike Weir Park! I took my son there todayIt is absolutely fantastic! Nice and sandy. Not rocky and crowded like some of the other beaches around here (ie: Canatara or Murphy Rd.) and there are no stairs or giant rocks to have to try and climb down with a baby!
