Sarnia Canada Day 2013

July 1st Canada Day parade starts at 11:30 a.m., leaving from Lakeshore Road at Colborne Road and ending at Canatara Park. Festivities including arts and craft booths, food booths, inflatables, train rides and live entertainment continue in Canatara Park. The Opening Ceremonies will be held at the Bandshell where you will be treated to Birthday Cake.
Entertainers for the afternoon are:
The Silly People
Q – Mack and J – Box
Steven the Great
D.O. Gibson
Billions Cobra
The Dynamic Academy of Martial Arts
Due to the closure of Centennial Park, the fireworks will be fired from a barge off Canatara beach in Canatara Park. This site will allow for good viewing from Canatara Beach as well as most reasonably distanced beaches along the Lake including Baxter and other Eastern beach access site.  There will be no parking in Canatara Park from 4:30 p.m. on but bus service will be available.
Fireworks start at 10:00 p.m. The Canatara Beach access points will be lighted so people will be able to access roads and other points safely. Sarnia Police will be in the Park to ensure a safe event occurs.
The Monday, July 1st concert features Steadfast at 5:00 p.m., D.O. Gibson at 6:15, Rumblefish at 7:30, and 3rd Wave at 8:45. This promises to be a great evening.
The concert scheduled for July 1st in Centennial Park will now be held on Sunday, June 30th in Canatara Park (parking is available).  Steven Page, former front man of the Barenaked Ladies, will perform.  Opening for Steven Page will be Sisters of Soul at 6:00 p.m. and Molly Thomason at 7:30 p.m.
Visit the Canada Day Committee Facebook page for more information on Canada Day festivities.
Personally, I think it will be way better to have all the festivities at one park! What do you think?
