Sarnia and Area School Bus Info

The roads are awful in some parts of the city and based on the freezing forecast for the next few days doesn’t look like they are going to get much better.

I saw a lot of chatter on various Facebook posts and groups this morning about the school buses. There were people trying to figure out what was going on with buses and I saw a lot of parents trying to be helpful and providing updates as to what buses were running late. Awesome! There were a few parents not wanting to send their kids to school because they thought the roads were too icy. I was totally shocked by just how rude some of the comments were in regards to this! Not awesome.

While I decided not to engage in all the Facebook nonsense, here is my opinion on it: If a mom is worried that a school bus is not a safe way to transport her child, she has the choice to either drive the kid herself, keep the kid home, or go against her gut and load him onto the bus. That goes for dads, too! Every parent is entitled to make their own decisions regarding their children’s safety. They should not be chastised or teased or made to feel like they are being “stupid” because their decisions may not be the same as someone else’s.
